Relocation Options

We often receive calls from a family member with the message that Mom needs to go in to a facility! Our first response is to inquire about the factors that led to that conclusion. Part of our role is to assess what the problem is and then advise accordingly. Often the indications or symptoms relate to a cause which is resolvable or treatable. In which case we can provide a plan for remaining at home.

After a surgery or accident, a stay in Skilled Nursing Center or Rehab facilty is often necessary. We can assist in the transition back home and arrange to have everything in place to provide the support for continued recovery at home.

There are some seniors that want to move to a condominium or apartment , others to a retirement community or senior housing facility. Unfortunately there may at times be circumstances that necessitate a move to a nursing home, care facility, memory unit or an assisted living facility.

We can help with all aspects of decision making and the transitioning. Using our assessment process, we can help sort out all the options and help you arrive at the best choice for your situation.

There is no one place that is right for everyone.

An essential part of the process is communication. We have many years of experience in working with seniors and their family or caregivers. We also know the importance of bringing open communication (and if needed, counseling) with all of the individuals involved.

You can call on us to take on the details so the family does not have to stress about wondering if they are doing the right things at the right time.
